One of the features that causes more work for academic advising is the current course group view. Currently it difficult to only showing "completed" courses. Students have to click on "All" next to show in each group for the course group to expand. The majority of student missed the "All" and email or call us saying they can't view the courses they need to take! It would be helpful for students to view all their required courses as soon as they log on the page!!!
There is a new setting for this in Academics->Settings->General->Show all Degree Audit course group courses by default.
I agree with this request. Having the option to default the degree audit to view ALL courses would be very valuable!
Yes, please! I was about to post the same request. It makes MUCH more sense to have at least the ability to choose the default view.

Having "All" as the default view makes sense and would help us clear up some confusion as well.
Currently, all IP courses are shown under "Completed" (the default view), but IP courses are obviously not completed, hence part of the confusion. If anything, it seems that IP courses should be included under the "Not Completed" tab.
A degree audit with courses organized by two categories (rather than 3: completed, not completed, in progress) can bring about some issues. For example, if a student is (pre)registered in a course for next semester, then that course appears under the "Completed" courses section of their degree audit as an IP course, which is inaccurate b/c the next semester hasn't even begun, much less been completed...
At any rate, a temporary workaround to avoid part of this and other complications would be to have "All" as the default view so that the student/advisor can see all courses at first and then look into the "completed" / "not completed" categories if needed. Simply allowing us this (or at least giving us the option to set the default view) would be a start.

We have recently transferred over to Populi as our SIS. I agree with all the other comments! As an assistant registrar we constantly are doing audits for soon to be gradating students. It creates a lot of unnecessary clicking to toggle to Show All. It would be really nice for the degree audit to default or have the option to default to Show All to help with any confusion on both the student and advisor's side of things as well. If they want to see only the not completed, or completed courses then toggle over to them.
I agree. Having the default set to "All" will save a huge amount of time when doing a Degree Audit with a student. I am curious who would use Populi and would only want to see the "Completed" courses. Even students like to see what still needs to be taken.

I got a request from my colleague, who also says having some button to set all the groups to "All" would be helpful when advising students.
