ability for online students to get or print student IDs

I would really like the benefit of a student ID but being an online student and across the country I feel already so cut off from the rest of the New Hope experience. It would be kind of nice and just allow a more inclusive feeling with something as simple as a school ID. It could be something I could print out myself that is provided as a download in the files section of populi or something mailed to me when I was first enrolled in classes, either way it would be a really neat addition to the online student experience.
