Our school uses alphanumeric section numbers to keep track of not only the timing of the courses, but also the relationship that one section has to another section. It would be really handy to be able to duplicate this in Populi.
In general, unless there is some reason to keep the section numbers strictly numeric, it seems like a point of greater flexibility to be able to have alphanumeric section numbers.
