Advancement Acknowledgement Letter Template & Auto Saving

Hello,

We would apprecate for the advancement acknowledgements to be revamped a bit.

- Include an email/letter template feature right where the acknowledgement button is.

- In this template, have the option for spouse or soft credit variables to be included.  Also, have the option for a donation amount variable to be included.

- When this email or letter is generated, make it automatically save with the transaction (such as in the transaction notes) NOT exclusively the activity feed.  It would be good for the email/letter acknowledgment be somehow linked with that particular donation.

  Populi does not automatically include the soft credit person in a letter that may be composed.  When I go to Actions > Compose Letter, the letter only goes to the main donator because there is no possibility of having a soft credit name also included.

  Our other issue with the letters, is that there should be an option for uploading our acknowledgement letter (not the same as the receipt) as something that AUTOMATICALLY saves to the donation transaction details. Currently, the acknowledgment letter template that we have is through the Communications section of Populi and saves to the donor's activity feed. This is not a good place for it to save to.
