Flagging Students on AP or who have IEPs for Profs

Is there a way to flag students who are on Academic Probation or have IEPs (Individualized Education plans) for the professors? These student will often have restrictions on how they submit their work or special accommodations being made for that student. It would be so helpful for the professor if there was some sort of flag on the gradebook by the student's name or on the assignment page to trigger the professor that something is different in this student's case.
