We are very concerned about the limited number of user roles available in Populi and the capabilities those roles have.
Our province's privacy laws require us to make personal information available to people only a 'need-to-know' basis. We have various members of staff and others who require only limited information from Populi--for example, transcript access only for our transcript clerk, and view-only access to financial records for our auditors. If we could get a) the power to custom-design roles, or b) the power to strip some capabilities from existing roles for specific users, or c) a way for you to design additional roles for our institution and to our specifications, we could greatly limit our liability and risk under the privacy laws.
