Those holding a Faculty role do not have the ability to search for other users via tags. So if a Faculty members needs to e-mail a committee whose members are identified by custom tags, he can't do so. We use tags for all sorts of other groups that Faculty are involved in, like "Field Work Supervisors". In order to give Faculty this ability currently, I have to give them a Staff role, which is a little dangerous since it allows them to change all sorts of information, add/remove roles for other people, etc. (Some of my faculty are not tech savvy enough to be trusted with this power!)
Could we have a simply "upgrade" to the Faculty role that would at least give them the ability to search and view based on tags, and perhaps also full access to the "Communications" module?
