Is it possible for a form to be prepopulated with existing information (such as Address or SSN) if it already exists in Populi for the user?
In a similar way to saving the information when students partially complete a form and are then able to come back to it, can existing information be available when they first open the form?

Linked fields are how they do pre-filling. The danger, of course, is that since they are linked any changes the student makes on the form replaces the data in the database. You need to make sure any fields you don't want changed are set to "office use only" so they show up but aren't editable, or that you specifically require those fields to be approved before any submitted changes overwrite the original data.
The form we use is composed of all linked fields.
We create the users either with the people importer or API with information already present, things like SSN and Address and many other custom fields. When the student first accesses the form, preexisting data is not prefilled.
