We have a number of program requirements that either arent specifically course related or would include courses that are already being included in the degree both generally and in the major. We only allow X credits of 1000 level courses. We only allow X credits of ensembles.
I cant imagine how to make a "maximum" requirement work. But having a "checklist" for the student to see and the advisor to complete could help us.
