We are requesting a new type of input for custom fields - Person Profile. For example, our retention program involves assigning success coaches to at-risk students for a given semester. So we have this Term Student Field, for which the input is to select from a list of manually entered names of potential success coaches:
This works fine, but ideally, it would function more like how advisors are chosen by selecting the individual's actual profile.
A couple of benefits:
- We wouldn't need to occasionally update the list of names as success coaches come and go.
- We could be certain of the exact identity of each success coach, even as they may change names (e.g., through marital status changes) and even if we someday have more than one success coach by the same name (e.g., suppose we had two Aaron Johnsons).
