Library Tags

I wonder if you might create "Tags" for Library resources. This would allow us to create a tag for a grouping of books that would be visible on the resource page, but also allow us to generate a (printable/sortable/exportable) list of all the books tagged a certain way. 

The specific use case would be to organize the books that are designated as being in our Reserve Collection (which is identified as a "location" in our library) according to the course with which they are associated. So, I could have a BIB201 tag for the books that are listed on Reserve for that course, in addition to having them be moved to the "Reserve Collection". 

I'm sure there would be other uses for tags as well.

  Andy Rice - You might be able to use Collections for this. Add a Collection for the Course and then set the Collection in the Is Part Of field of the Resource.

  Can you elaborate on this a bit more? I'm struggling to find this field and see how to add/edit a collection. I do see where you can search by Collection and that I've already got a few in my library, but they look to be particular published series, etc.

  Andy Rice - In Library choose Add Resource then click enter the resource by hand. Give it a name, then choose Collection for the Type, and click Add Resource. Now you can choose this Collection in the Is Part Of field on a Resource, and then you'll be able to filter by Is Part Of in Browse Resources.   Following up... It looks like you can only add the "Is Part Of" field on the RESOURCE page, not on the copy details. That would make this option less than ideal because you could imagine having 2 copies of the same resource, and one of them is on Reserve and the other is in the General Collection, but the information about the course it's associated with is listed under the Resource page, not the copy page. OR, you could conceivably have two copies of a book and they are on reserve for 2 different courses. This could get quite confusing knowing which copy goes with each course.

  So, I'd suggest once again a "tags" feature that exists on the "copy" level whereby books can be organized by custom categories.
