I'd love to allow students to check off, with a check mark if they did a reading assignment or not. I believe this would help with grading some simple tasks like reading assignments.

Adam Sentz Rev. Addison Spears - A lot of folks will accomplish this via a one question test.

Lynn Aleshire I'm an end user. There is a check box but it's automated. If I click ahead or close the window it's automatically marked as complete. I've had the lesson open to tell me it's already completed. That is not helpful; in fact it makes the check box meaningless. How about a manual check box?

Adam Sentz Lynn Aleshire - That will only be the case if there are no required items on the lesson page. In that case all that is required is visiting the page. That's really down to how your instructor set it up, but I can see how it might be helpful to manually mark things completed once all the required items (if there are any) are completed.

Lynn Aleshire I am not understanding the case. Each Lesson has a number of steps, say 10, that must be completed. If I look at any given step or close a window the current step, say #3, is marked completed and the next time I open the course it takes me to the next step, #4. So, the completion marks are meaningless unless I check the box myself. If you're suggesting this is a setting by the instructor I can contact him.
