Enable text messaging

We would like to be have the ability to enable text messaging ourselves without emailing a link. Students respond to text messaging much quicker but not to the email to set up the text messaging. If we already have their phone number it would be so much simpler if we have a signed request to send a text to check that ourselves without them having to request and use a code. Thanks so much
