New Course Creation - Final Grades Automatically 100%

Each time a new course is created and students are enrolled, the final grade automatically shows 100, PASS. Can this be made to automatically show 0, IN? 

As it stands, the students and administration are getting the wrong impression, at a glance.

All of our final grades are entered manually, so they are reviewed before course finalization. Currently, when enrolling students, I must set all final grades to 0, then update again with the actual final grade to finalize the course. 

It would save time when creating a course to be able to skip this step!

  @Jessica - Students will not see a final grade in the course at all until there is it least one assignment grade entered, and the progress setting is set to visible to students.

  Hi Adam,

  Unfortunately, it is imperative that the students are able to see their assignment grades.

  We just do not want the final grade to automatically show 100, PASS as soon as students are enrolled (regardless of whether students, faculty, or admin are viewing). Many assignments and grades are not kept on Populi, and they are calculated and entered at the end of (or at specific intervals throughout) the course, so this automatic grade of 100, PASS is misleading, and 0, IN would be more accurate.

  I would like to see this as an option! Otherwise, and in the meantime, I will be entering 0, IN for all students as they are enrolled in each course.

  The issue I've had with the default grade being Pass or 100% is that we do not use Populi's LMS, so when professors do their grading, they see the default grade of Pass and assume that is all that is needed so do not finalize a course and I have to spend time contacting each professor to ask them to finalize the course if the passing grade is accurate. They would know that if the default grade for pass/fail courses was set to 0 as is the case with courses graded by letter grade.
