It is very important that we be able to, for some courses (by term or course) be able to lock professors out of being able to edit course content. We want them to be able to grade, take attendance, email students, and post in the bulletin board, etc… but not alter any content. We need this feature because half of our courses are created by an Instructional Design Team and should not be messed with after creation. The Trad program wants to be able to still let professors mess with content but Non Trad and Grad programs want to be able to lock them down. Is this possible now? If not possible now, is this feature something that could possibly be done by the end of Summer? Not being able to do this may delay our move to Populi for our LMS.

Dr. Beemer YES! We need this feature for the same reason. I believe we can assign the teacher/facilitator to a "Teaching Assistant" role which would partially accomplish this but leaves the faculty spot blank on the Info tab and other places.
