We'd like to be able to compare how one particular version of a class compares against different offerings of that class. In order to do that we need to be able to get a baseline of how that particular course is typically evaluated by students.
So in the evaluations reporting, when I choose all terms for a particular evaluation, I'd like to be able to specify a particular course, not class, and have every instance of that evaluation be aggregated into a single report. (Currently specifying a "course" really means specifying a particular instance of that course.)
Similarly, when I choose all terms for a particular evaluation and choose a department, I'd expect that instructor-based questions would all be combined across all instructors to create a baseline so I could compare whether Dr. No outperforms her peers. Currently instructor-based questions are disaggregated when reporting on evaluations by department.
In short, it would be nice to have a fully aggregated "institutional snapshot" for any given or all evaluations, a "course snapshot" for any particular course in the catalog, and a "department snapshot" for any particular academic department. Currently each of these three things is disaggregated in some way, and that disaggregation is decidedly unhelpful for establishing a sense of how individual instructors, courses, and departments are performing relative to others.
