Hi Debbie, In Populi you can only associate financial aid awards with liability accounts. I would suggest setting up the liability accounts process the aid and then use journal entries to put everything where it ought to be. Also, it may be worth your time to open a Feature request asking for more account types to be accessible to Aid awards. To open a feature request click Help > Make a Feature Request from within Populi.
Below is my request:
The account number for our Award Types are incorrect, I need to change them, but the system only allows liability accounts, which is not what we need to add. For example - When a financial aid direct loan is posted to a students account, it should debit the Financial Funds Checking account and credit the Student Receivable account. Is there a way you could change / or add the option to include other accounts.
