Advising discussion/assignment feature request

Hi folks. We are working hard to figure out how to use Populi for advising. Right now the advising tab seems to be set up with only academic advising in mind, i.e., courses and grades. But in a seminary context advising often means working with a student on vocational formation and, for us, advising is the key context for helping students think about and work toward the dispositions, habits, and character traits necessary for their vocation. So we need a place where advisor and advisee can share in confidential conversation. One thing we do is ask students each semester to answer a set of essay questions that they then share with their advisor for discussion. These answers and discussions, plus academic work, become the basis for the student evaluations we send back to each home diocese. My request is this - could you add a "discussion" tab to the advising page for each student so that alongside "overview" and "term progress" there is a way for advisee and advisor to communicate. It would be important that this tab include a way for advisors to tell students what vocational questions they want them to work on and a way for students to either write within an essay box or upload a file with their answers. Then the advisor would need to be able to comment on the student's answers. I am imagining this tab as having some "discussion" type features and some "assignment" type features. It would be great for advisors to be able to have the advising essay questions set in advance, so that they would go live at a certain time when the student needs to answer those questions. I'm trying to imagine a way that the advisor does not have to retype the questions for every advisee every time. Maybe that part could be worked out through a set of "communication plan" emails - I'm not sure. Hopefully, you have a sense at this point of what I am looking for. Thanks for considering this.
