here is a suggestion for you to build into the grading tools on essay/paper submissions. in building an assignment, and since so often there is a word minimum, it would be nice to have a word counter. better yet, would be to go to assignment type as essay or file and a box put in the minimum/maximum word amount, and there be a signal to indicate if the word minimum has been reached.

Aimee Coombs It would be VERY helpful to have a word count function in the word processor that is built into Populi for essay type assignments.
All of our writing assignments have word count minimums and it would be great if they could track the word count in Populi, we have set it up so that they use the word processor in Populi, but this will be an issue if they can't keep track of their word count...it will force them to use an outside word processor and then cut and paste their work into Populi....that defeats the purpose of using the word processor in Populi

Quick question though....the student sees the word count when they are typing, but once they submit their assignment, the faculty has no way of seeing the word count, so how does it help them as they are grading the assignment if they have no way to see the word count

Timothy McNinch Can word count be added to the Grading Criteria options for Peer Review assignments? I would like to require reviewers to engage with the submission by typing at least, say, 100 words in their review. This is already available in Discussion Forum responses, I believe. The same feature would be nice in Peer Reviews.
