I would love to have the ability to move students around in various labs or sections of the same lecture course without having to un-register and re-register them for the class each time.

Evan Donovan This would be extremely helpful, especially because you have to have different sections in Populi if you are syncing to Canvas and you want your professors in Canvas to only have a certain set of students assigned to grade.
So if you have the students register all in one section, and then be assigned out to other sections based on faculty availability, that could involve a lot of shifting students between sections right now.
The user experience for a new "switch section" feature could be similar to "import students" on the Roster page, except it would not have the catalog course restriction which that does, and it would remove them from the old section at the same time as it added them to the new one. -
