Public Course Schedule Search Filter

Thanks for the new public course schedule! This will make life easier!

I'd like to suggest adding a search filter to it (search by course name, number, instructor, etc.). Also, could you add a way to display only graduate courses or only online courses (could be a variable in the URL).

Second, we sometimes have students in courses that aren't available to everyone (independent study to get in a requirement, etc.). It would be nice to have the ability to hide individual courses from the public schedule.

Last, it would be nice to be able to see the building and room and maybe the required textbooks for the course, either by clicking or hovering over the course title or a more information icon.

Thanks again for this feature! What I made for our website doesn't update automatically, so this is already quite helpful.

  I agree. This would be very helpful. Right now we have to manage public webpages for our courses as well as those that require a login.  It would be nice to be able to do both from Populi.

  Great ideas, Christopher and Andrew! I just posted on a similar thread, and maybe these are close enough that they should be combined. I really like the idea of being able to hide some courses from the results (e.g., individual studies). The other enhancements I would like to see are:

  1) Ability to disable some columns (i.e., campus and add/drop date).

  2) Ability to display course descriptions and required textbooks (or make the course titles links to view those).

  3) Ability to click on instructors to either email them or see a bio page.

  4) Column to show location (building and room number).

  We would also like to be able to show the course description.   Perhaps as a hover/detail/more/link function since course descriptions are too large for a table view.
