Assignment Submission Receipts for Students (email and/or notification bubble)

We get a steady amount of questions from students who are not sure they submitted an assignment correctly.

Blackboard sends email receipts to students confirming their assignment submission (see attached screenshot), and Canvas has a notification bubble that pops up to mark successful submission in a way that reassures the student.

Since Populi offers faculty and TAs the option to receive assignment submission notifications by email, could this feature be added as an option for students?

  Populi will now show a notification for successful file submissions on file type assignments.

  I believe Moodle can also do this. 
  
  We have a lot of dialogue between students & faculty on this, and it is something that we have to cover currently in the New Student Orientation.
  
  If the system could tell the student automatically if they attached a file that had data to the submission area (not the comments area), that would be great.
