We would like a way to export the data instructors enter into rubrics by student and by course. Specifically, the scores and comments instructors enter into instances of the rubrics on student assignments.
We currently use a separate Access Database to collect and report on data from each student in each course. Basically, it’s a more narrative / descriptive set of grading criteria. We’ve found that we can replicate the data collection portion of our external system using the new rubrics, but then we would have no meaningful way to report on that data from Populi. What we need falls somewhere between what the rubric can do, and what the course evaluations can do.
An alternative would be to allow for course-level narrative grading that supplements the numeric / letter grades and allows for comments on specific criteria.
