Make Contact Information Private to All Users Except Staff

We should have the ability to make contact information private to all users except for those with a Staff role, as indicated in the articles linked below. 

Contrary to these articles, any users with the Faculty, Teaching Assistant, or Staff roles can view private contact info of all individuals.

  @Jessica - In that first article "staff members" refers to individuals in the employ of your organization which is a correct characterization of how it works. That second article is just wrong; we'll get it fixed.

  We would like students to have the ability to make their private contact information hidden from faculty and teaching assistants and only visible to staff. We have received this specific request from our students, so I am asking about it again.

  Has there been any movement or development with this request?  We are also wondering if it would be possible to make the private contact information hidden from staff as well? Thank you!
