I have had recent complaints from our Registrar and our Admissions Director about subtle changes in the way Populi display data (I'm not sure if they're both actual changes or just new scenarios we've run into, but it doesn't really matter).
I can see the argument for why these pages default to the data they do, but it makes things more complicated for our teams for our use cases. I imagine there are probably lots of little friction points for each school, as everybody's uses are different. It would be great if we had more control over how information is displayed by default, either per user or per school.
For example: it's really helpful for some of our people to the "all" filter on roster pages by default. Recently Populi has started showing "Enrolled/Auditing" by default. In another case, Admissions by default hides inactive lead records when there is also a current record. For our purposes it usually make sense to always show a prospect's entire history on the Admissions tab.
I recognize that our preferences may not carry over to other schools but it'd be nice to be able to set these for our users outside of hacking through a javascript plugin or something.
