Show audit option on initial registration view

Hello,

I recall a few months ago that the online registration page was set up differently than it is now.  It had two columns for each course, one for credit and one for audit.  Now, the students are required to select audit from a drop-down if they want to register to audit a course. I would like to put a vote in to go back to the former version of the registration page.  My students who wish to audit courses are not finding that drop-down intuitively, so I'm having to manually change them from enrolled to auditor.

  @Shawn - Thanks for the feedback. When we redesigned registration one of the main things we wanted to address was streamlining the number of options initially presented to students. As part of the research we did, we looked at the millions of course students in our database and found that students only audit courses about 1.5% of the time. Given that over 98% of the time a student is not going to be auditing a course, we decided to stop presenting that option on the initial state of the registration page.

  If you have more specifics about your use case it could help us consider possible improvements in this area. Do you have certain students that are primarily auditing courses as opposed to enrolling? Or are your students primarily enrolling in courses, and then not finding how to audit instead of enroll in a course?

  Hi Adam,

  Thank you for your response.  We are a very small school that has both traditional students and continuing education students, who wish to audit the courses.  I will adjust my registration instructions to let them know to use the drop-down.
