Prompt to close pop-up windows if changes not saved

In some pop-up windows (for instance, editing a Course Group), the popup can be closed with the X in the upper right hand corner but does not indicate that changes were lost.  It would be fantastic if it could pop up a prompt saying changes will be lost and asking whether the user wants to continue anyway, if the data had actually been modified.
