Make rescheduling a meeting time easier

If we need to make a one-time change to a class meeting, there is no easy way to do that, nor to let anyone know that you've done it. The only option for saving such a change is "Save This and Future." Why can't there be a "Save for this instance only" button?

If I change a recurring event in Google Calendar, for example, I'm given three options: 1) This event; 2) This and following events; and 3) All events. If other people are a part of that event, I'm given the opportunity to send them a notification of the change, along with an explanation, if I choose to write one. Populi should have similar options.

The current workaround in Populi to change the time of a meeting (and notify faculty and students) is to:

  • Cancel the meeting from the calendar tab (checking the box to notify faculty and students)
  • Add an event from the calendar tab
  • Click "More"
  • Type the names of every student and faculty member in the Attendees box

That is extremely clunky (especially if it has to be done for multiple courses) and is probably confusing to those who are receiving multiple notifications. Please develop a more elegant solution that allows one-time meeting time changes with just a few clicks.
