Customize fields available when adding library resource

It would be nice to customize which fields are available to enter on a new resource when adding it either by hand or a pulled up MARC record. Right now there are only a few fields. We have to go to the resource page after adding the resource to continue adding the fields that we want to enter with each new resource. If we could have those fields available on the Add a Resource page it would save us a lot of time.
