Emailing from Populi: Change the sender's address?

We have realized recently that some of the emails our staff sends through Populi, to prospective students, have ended up in Spam folders. Most recently, a prospective student's full-tuition scholarship notification! Only after we nudged her to respond did she find the original email in her Spam folder.

My question is whether it would be possible to change the sender's address from the generic "notifications@populiweb...." to the sender's actual email address? Seems like this would help our emails look less like spam and more like real emails to which we hope to get a response. I know this problem can be solved by sending directly from our email account, but some of our staff would prefer not to have to use this "workaround".
