Could Populi add a date submitted column in the course_grades table that tracks not only when a grade was changed, but when it was originally submitted?
DEAC recently visited our school and requested that we regularly spot check the time between student submission of an assignment and when faculty assign a grade and feedback. We are supposed to audit and verify that faculty follow the grading policy.
Only problem is that Populi does not track the grade submission date. So we can't do this. On a few assignments, I can get a date, if the professor makes a comment in the comment box. Otherwise, there is no way to audit time to grade.
Additionally, it would be helpful to also have timestamps on annotations within a student's submission. DEAC also asked us to monitor faculty feedback on student work. We can only do that for assignments where a faculty member makes a comment below or where they download the assignment, review in Word, then upload the reviewed version.
