When entering soft credit from an association large donation where 10 churches have sent their donations to that asssociation and then the association sends a check of combined gifts...when I try to enter soft credit for the multiple churches Populi does not let me change the amount on the soft credit to the individual church's amount of contribution. All the multiple amounts will of course total the association check. But Populi does not allow for breaking down of multiple contributions/gifts in soft credit.
It would be great to have the ability to edit the amount of the soft credit when multiple contributors/donors/churches send gifts desginated for the seminary through their regional association. Then we can track the soft credit of individual churches and individual donors to see their part and track their contributions. That is extremely crucial to fund raising and donor contact.
Other software has that option available. I realize that Populi focuses on the student/academic side of software, but the donation side of Populi would be greatly enhanced if that option were available. I am sure all schools benefit from this feature.
