It would be helpful if there was an option allowing the assignment dates to be inherited by the lesson to which they are assigned.
It can be very tedious to manage both sets of dates. With this option, teachers would need only add assignments to lessons, and they would be available as expected.

@Mr. Mesich - If you leave the assignment availability as the default (course dates) and put it in a lesson, its availability will be restricted to the lesson's availability. In other words, if a student must progress through lessons to get to the lesson page where that assignment is added they will not be able to access the assignment until they have "unlocked" that page.
