I would like to edit/remove/change system tags in bulk. A particular instance would be related to donors. After a time, a donor is no longer active but inactive. However, from what I can tell I must change this manually.
Would it be possible to add a feature so that I could bulk-edit system tags (at least at number below 10k)?

@Joshua - System tags are triggered by other points of data in the system, and not directly editable themselves. Bulk changing donor status would be possible though. Would you like me to modify this request to only be about that? You could still let us know, or add other requests about different cases of course.

That would solve my immediate issue. I don't know what other specific application I would need this feature for.
I it accurate to assume that the donor status is one of those data points that affects the system tags?

If talking about donor status (this may be another feature request), the VISIBLE options are:
1. Active
2. Inactive
3. Potential
4. None
However, there is an additional possibility, which is the default when an individual is added: NULL.
I realized this when some at Populi were helping me with bulk donor status changes. The difficulty with the NULL status is that all those who have that designation do not show up in donor searches. There may be a reason for this, but it is an easy way to lose individuals in the database!
Assuming this is a necessary status, including it as a search option would be a helpful way to identify those individuals who otherwise may be hard to find in a search.
@Joshua - Yes the donor status controls the Donor system tag.
I checked and the status column doesn't allow NULL, and the default is Potential, so I'm not sure what's going on there. Maybe that was a legacy issue that was solved at some point. If that's an ongoing issue please open a support request so we can look into it.

Our system does not default to "potential." Is there something I can change from our end?
I just added a dummy, and in donor search I included the name as well as the status (trying both "potential" and "none"). He showed up on neither.
If I need to open up another request for this issue, I can. But it would be great if I could get that taken care of.
Potential is the database default which doesn't necessarily mean it will be the default in the interface. I realize now that that is confusing and wasn't helpful. Sorry about that.
I'm not sure why your dummy donor isn't showing up. If you open a support request someone can check that out for you.
