For the upcoming Fall Semester, we are adopting an Enrollment Deposit to be paid before the student can register for class.
We want to charge the student account for the Enrollment Deposit when the Lead Status is changed to "accepted". Then the student can logon to Populi to pay their enrollment deposit. Once paid, the Lead Status will be manually changed to "Confirmed" which kicks off a series of events: adding the Active Student Role, creating the student email, etc...
Currently, we see no way to add the charge for Enrollment Deposit that is not manual-intensive. At acceptance, the recruiter is adding a #Enrollment Deposit tag, which our Student Accounts can then pull for the tag, charge the students one at a time, This will work for now, with less than 1000 students, but as we grow, this process will become unmanageable.
We need a cleaner way to add charges once the student is accepted before they enroll in classes. Either a trigger when the student status is changed to Accepted, or a data-slicer-like Action to be able to add charges based on the list of accepted pulled from the Lead Summary report..
