Hello Populi,
In using the attendance beacon, it seemed that having a Sign-Out option would be useful for ensuring that students remain in class the entire duration of the session.

Hello Populi,

Thank you,
Rory Daugherty - Could you expand on that? Do you mean the beacon stays on the whole class and logs if they get too far away, or something else?
Sorry I should have been more specific. Not keeping the beacon open the whole time, but rather having the option for 2 phases of the beacon. First being the Sign-In at the beginning of the class session. Then giving the option to require a Sign-Out at the end of the session. Giving the option to require both a Sign-In and Sign-Out to receive the status of present.
This does not guarantee student will not leave during a session, but it would just be another layer of accountability. Thank you for the quick response.
Rory Daugherty - I see. So if you could essentially take attendance more than once, and require them to be present for all of them. Thanks for the follow up!
This feature will be really useful for clinic hour clock-in and clock-out too. Our previous management software had this clock-in and clock-out feature and it was very useful.
Jin Kim - Would your preference be to do that via bluetooth beacons or another way?
Hi Adam,
Bluetooth beacon is good, but a barcode reader with student ID will be good too. How about both?
