Our course instructors are usually the ones that set prerequisites for their courses. They are also the only ones who can waive the prerequisites for their own courses. However, in Populi only Academic Admins and Registrars can waive the prerequisites. There are multiple communications between student, registrar, faculty necessary before a student is able to enroll in a course.
Is there a way that this somehow could be streamlined? Something along the line that students who want to register and don't have the prerequisite will be put on the waiting list, which triggers an email to the instructor, who then can send an email to the registrar allowing or disallowing the enrollment.
