Privacy Settings for Custom Info Tab Fields

The same privacy options available for Activity Feed Posts should be included with Custom Info Tab Fields. i.e. When creating a Custom Info Tab Field, one should be able to change whether or not certain Roles (Academic Admin, Financial Admin) should be able to view sensitive Custom Info Tab Fields like disability status, age, and military status.

Ideally, one would like have this data in Populi and attached to students and faculty alike for ease of reporting, but not readily viewed by anyone with a "Staff" Role.

  I agree. I think there may be a Feature Request already for this one, but don't remember where it is offhand.

  Carried over from support request: I agree that we need the option for privacy setting on custom fields.

  I have added a student field called Degree Plan for advisors to upload a working degree plan for their advisees. I just realized that the advisor role does not have edit rights, which means they cannot add or update a degree plan. However, I can set the field for the profile owner to edit?? Then the student can edit it themselves.

  Is it possible to give us the option in the "Data Permissions" drop down to allow advisors to edit this field?
