The recent integration with Zoom is great!
However, only single conference meetings can be set up. Is it possible to schedule reoccurring meetings?
Also, can specific Zoom Rooms be specified?
Thanks,
Jonathon

When creating a meeting time for a course you can now include a URL to a Zoom Room.
We are also interested in tying a course to a specific meeting id, particularly for our users who do not have Internet at home and will need to know the meeting ids ahead of time.
Kay Avila (Technical Support) - Is there a reason students can't just go to the course in Populi and click Join Conference?
Adam Sentz There are a couple of downsides:
Is it possible to have two courses in the same conference?
David Patterson - There isn't a function in Populi to do that, but I believe you could manually invite students to a meeting even if they weren't in the course where the Conference was started.
Just writing in to share we'll be going into our second semester of using Zoom classes and it would really have been nice to have the option to schedule reoccuring meetings for the semester. For reasons I've stated above and elsewhere, having the link for the class ahead of time is a non-negotiable requirement for us - we cannot do meetings on demand. We won't be using the Zoom integration in our second semester because this feature is missing, which is a shame.
Anecdotally, I know this is something that Moodle supports.
When COVID hit, we were really excited that Populi was able to add Zoom integration. However this summer, we added Zoom Rooms hardware to all of our classrooms, expecting them to just work with the Populi integration. We were really disappointed to discover that Populi was not able to support Zoom Rooms. We have now completely abandoned Populi integration for our Zoom meetings. By gaining access to all of our course calendars from Populi, I was able to create recurring Zoom meetings for the Zoom Rooms and then add those meetings to the Google calendar for those courses. This was a really roundabout way to do it. The preferable method would be for Populi to associate the Zoom Room (Google Calendar Resource) to the Room resource in Populi. That way, as the registrar, when I schedule a class in Populi, and Populi creates the calendar event for that course, the calendar resource, and therefore the Zoom Room would be identified. I do appreciate all the work that Populi has put into this. It just isn't where we need it to be yet.
