It'd be great to be able to compose a section of a test where students may choose from among several "short answer" or "essay" topic options (e.g. "Choose three of the following five terms to identify.") Currently, we need to give a fixed point value for each option, but Populi would score any unanswered term as a zero. In order for Populi's score calculation not to be thrown off, I have been marking the options as "extra credit" and telling students to disregard that designation. But it would be nice to have a more straightforward option for this common type of exam setup.

Chuck Chalfant I have 8 essay questions that i'm giving my students the choice of 4 to answer. I put all 8 in each question with the point for that one answer. Basically, it's the same question 4 times that they will choose one of the 8 to answer.
