I am requesting a field that would export file attachment links from the Data Slicer to an XLS or CSV, rather than just the names. The links show up in the actual Data Slicer report, which is useful, but not on an export.
We use file attachment fields to store things like student transcripts and faculty contracts, so it would be great if we could export those into a spreadsheet so we had links to them in a centralized location.
This could especially be helpful in complying with accreditation file review requirements. Our accreditor, DEAC, requires a review of all the files establishing the eligibility of your students, such as transcripts/HS diplomas, as part of the re-accreditation requirements.
For schools that store all their financial aid documentation in Populi file attachment fields, it could be helpful also.
As to what type of link I would like to see, if you implemented this, I would like it to be a link to the place to view the file on Populi. That way, it would still have access control.
Regarding when there are multiple files in the same field, it might be easiest to implement just by concatenating the links into one cell in the export spreadsheet, but delimiting them by semicolons. Then I could just split that when I exported into Excel or Sheets.
This is not a high-priority feature request for us, but I wanted to file it regardless, in case it would help others, and because it would be useful to us in the next year or so.
