Here's a long one:
-I like to download all file submissions for grading off-line, but w/ Populi, I get a zip w/ each student's file in their own unique folder. This adds a lot of clicking to get at everything. When we were on Moodle, I could download them all as one batch (in a zip), and Moodle would assign a file name when doing so. It was something like: a number string, a student identifier by name, the file title the student had used when uploading.
-I would then grade all the papers and could zip them up, and upload the batch back to the assignment, and as long as I had not altered the number string at the beginning of the file, Moodle would sort each file back to the appropriate student.
-This streamlined getting to the folders and it also faciliated me in grading blindly (i.e. not knowing who's file I was grading when doing the grading), as well as made uploading feedback very efficient.
Having something like this in Populi would be great.
