Assignment submission notification

Hi Populi,

Can you add a feature where, if a student gets an exception to turn in work late, that Populi will automatically message me once they have submitted the work?

This will help b/c, once I've graded an assignment for an entire class, I check it off in y mind and move on. If a student gets work in later than that (through the exception), it will often be out of my mind. I know there's the "blue dot" feature, but w/ multiple classes and 20+ assignments in each, it's pretty easy to lose that sort of thing.

  In case anybody missed it: There is a notification setting called Notify my about assignment submissions & comments.

  This would be extremely helpful to us as well.

  The blue dots aren't as useful as they could be because if you don't grade it immediately when you look at something, the blue dot will go away.

  An email notification would be harder to miss.

  Another wrinkle has emerged for me related to the Blue Dots. I have a grader for a couple classes, which means either one of us may go in and tool w/ an assignment. In that case, if the Blue Dot disappears b/c one of us viewed something, the other person will never know there's something left to be graded.

  Allen Jones - The Blue Dots are by user. If a grader views a student assignment page, but you do not, you'll still have a Blue Dot.

  It would be helpful if the grader can set up an email notification for assignment submissions.
