We have a team of interns responsible for tracking student attendance. We utilize the beacon functionality, but the team still has to update a student's attendance at times when a student forgets their phone or forgets to check-in. The challenge comes when a student asks to update their attendance status for multiple days. For example, when a student has 5 days that they need updated, the attendance team has to click on each of the 5 days in the attendance calendar to update that student's status. It would be great to have a student attendance page view where they could add or update a student's attendance status for any day in the month or semester.

Adam Sentz LCU Scripts - On the roster student page (click a student's name on the roster) go to the Attendance tab and click the Edit Attendance button to edit all attendance data for that student at once.

LCU Scripts Hi Adam, thanks for responding. The challenge for us is that when a student is not counted on a particular day, we can't use the 'edit attendance' view to add an attendance record. For those cases, we have to go to the attendance calendar view and navigate to those specific days to set the student's attendance if their status was not set for those days. Please let me know if I am missing something?

Adam Sentz LCU Scripts - If an attendance event has been created at all then every student in the course should have an attendance record for that event that should be editable on the student attendance page. How are you having students "check in" ?

Adam Sentz LCU Scripts - OK, I see you have students with "No attendance taken" sometimes. Have to figure out why that is. I'm going to open a new support request from this post to investigate.

LCU Scripts We are using the Beacon functionality, but sometimes students forget to check-in or forget to bring their device. Since our attendance team does not always set the Beacon to mark remaining students as absent, these students have no record for those days that they miss. In these cases, we have to go to each day in the attendance calendar to set the student's attendance status. Is there a reason that the default functionality is not to mark a student as absent after the class meeting ends?
