Please add a way to be notified by email when a new discussion is added to a group.
This does not currently exist in Notifications Settings. I am able to be notified when someone contributes to a discussion I have contributed to. But there are no notifications for new discussions.
This is important because we are using Groups for a Job Board. So I want students to be alerted when a new job is posted. I thought if they were members of the group, they would be alerted. But that does not happen.
You can now set notification of group discussions in your notification settings.

Is it possible to also have an alert appear on the home page that something has been posted or activity has happened in a Group? Or even a * above the word "Groups" where it appears on the homepage as a tab? Some way of knowing something new is waiting. We will use this feature but it's cumbersome to just rely on emails when our students are in Populi already. It would be great to know visually in Populi that something new is there.
