When you go into a course, there is no notification that pops up on the dashboard to let me know someone has added a new discussion post. It would be nice to have that option so that when a student posts a discussion, I get an alert on the dashboard. I could then click on it and be taken directly to the post. This would be separate from the email notifications for discussions, which are already in place.
