Automatic Recurring Offline Donations

I would love to have a way to set up recurring donations received via cash or cheque? We have several donors who give via cheque on the same day every month, and a lot of man-hours go into manually recording these donations every month. I would love if there was a way to set a recurring schedule that automatically records these donations every month.
