Linking to a file in the files area for a lesson.

As posted in 2022, yes you can import a file already listed in your "Files" area for a lesson.  However, when you have those files in a folder in the files area and you use the import option in a lesson, the imported file is then listed in the root of the files area.  The whole idea of having folders in the files area is to organize your files and not create a huge single list of files.  Have the designers reviewed this issue and is there a correction for this coming in the future?
