Marking inactive degres on Degree audit drop down

Would it be possible for you to mark an degree as inactive in the Degree audit drop-down? When we have a student change programs from our traditional ground to our online program, their degree and major are often the same name. So in the drop-down, the student is showing 2 degrees of the same name. One is inactive and does not show classes registered for after the inactive date. But this is confusing to our advisors... I think that to somehow notate which if these is the active degree would clear up confusion.
