We desire that the automated transfer student system tag could be turned off. Using the general setting for an institution is not sufficient.
A student who graduates from high school with college credit from College of the Albemarle is not a transfer student
A student who completes an AA degree from College of the Albemarle and comes to us to earn their BS degree is a transfer student.
Some transfer credit does make a student a transfer student and other transfer credit doesn't. We can't just designate an institution into one category. Let us choose whether or not we want to automate the tag, please.
